As a Director with Chesapeake Corporate Advisors, Dave Morrison serves as a strategic advisor to middle-market business owners, guiding them on the journey to build long-term, sustainable value and prepare for their ultimate financial goals. He is dedicated to helping clients make thoughtful, well-informed decisions that secure their personal and financial legacies.
“My commitment is to look beyond the balance sheet to understand a client’s ‘why’,” Dave explains. “Only with that complete picture can we chart a course that aligns with their personal definition of success.”
Dave brings a unique operator’s perspective to his advisory work, backed by nearly two decades of senior finance leadership experience. Having previously led corporate financial planning, capital allocation, and large-scale strategic initiatives, he has sat on the client’s side of the table. This firsthand experience allows him to help business owners enhance enterprise value, strengthen their financial operations, and strategically plan for the future, whether that involves organic growth, a capital raise, or an eventual ownership transition.
Dave earned a B.S. in Finance and Economics from the University of Maryland and an MBA from the University of Florida. A Baltimore native, he is deeply committed to the local community, serving on the board of Lyric Baltimore and on the finance committee of Maryland Golf & Country Clubs. An avid golfer, Dave enjoys the competition and camaraderie of the game and spends his free time with his wife and two sons, often catching a local sporting event or staying active outdoors.
