Description
Chesapeake Corporate Advisors (CCA), a leading Baltimore-based boutique corporate advisory and investment banking firm, seeks to hire an Analyst to support the firm’s continued growth. This position works closely with the Director and staff of CCA’s valuation team and will have significant direct client interaction.
The candidate is expected to work primarily on business valuations. Qualified candidates should be self-motivated with a results-oriented attitude; and the aptitude to quickly understand, develop and apply complex financial concepts. The candidate’s primary responsibilities will include analyzing financial statements, utilizing the asset, income and M&A methods of valuation, developing PowerPoint reports as well as conducting industry research and company analysis.
Qualifications
- Degree from an accredited undergraduate business program; concentration in accounting or finance required
- 0-2 years of business experience in financial analysis, valuation analysis, accounting or a related field
- Excellent financial modeling and other analytical skills
- Advanced skill with Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Desire for significant responsibility
- Strong research skills
- Proven ability to work well in a team environment
- Comfort in working directly with senior client executives
- Ability to work in an entrepreneurial culture
- Demonstrated problem solving abilities and judgment
Duties
- Support senior staff in the preparation of financial projections and business valuations, including DCF modeling, comparable company and transaction multiple analyses
- Performing valuation analysis on a wide range of private entities within various industries using accepted and relevant approaches and theory
- Work on multiple projects, business development initiatives and internal projects at any given time
- Independently gathering data pertinent to the engagement through direct client interaction and client site visits
- Assisting in preparing and presenting the results of our analysis in a clear and concise manner
- Maintain internal sources of information and databases
- Performing in-depth client, industry, market and competitor research
Compensation
$65,000 – $75,000 base salary, plus annual bonus potential at the discretion of the Managing Member.

Paid Time Off
In addition to paid holidays, CCA offers 2 weeks of PTO for the first two years and 3 weeks beginning year 3.
